So, after a long wait and lots of leaks the DJI Mini 3 Pro has arrived...... well almost. According to the dates they will be shipping from tomorrow 17th May 2022, so if you have been lucky and ordered already then fingers crossed the Mini 3 Pro could be in your hands (or sky) within a few days.
If you have not been following the hype behind the Mini 3 Pro then simply where have you been!!? so far, on paper it looks pretty incredible, I mean if the Mini 2 is anything to go by then it should really be one of the best drones and in fact possibly, THE best drone for a drone hobbyist, it is feature packed with some hefty upgrades from the Mini 2 and still under the golden 250g weight limit.
As most of you already know, the DJI Mini 2 was and still is the most popular drone that has been released from DJI. I remember back when we first received one and we were blown away, we still are amazed at how good that little drone is, despite having access to most models of DJI drones, we still take the Mini 2 over most of the others when go on an adventure, the size and quality of this tiny little drone really does make it stand out. Based on the fact that the Mini 2 was such a success we can only foresee the Mini 3 Pro carrying on that success and hopefully further.
Below are the spec of the Mini 3 Pro, which are genuinely impressive.

Just to pick a couple of the specs that are particularly impressive we would say firstly the camera, with a 1/1.3 inch sensor which is significantly bigger than the Mini 2 we can only imagine at this point that the camera quality will be simply amazing, again, the Mini 2 was impressive for the size..... but this is bigger and better :) With a larger battery flight time, stated to be around 34 minutes, this is in a windless environment, time will tell with this! the extra flight time will be much well received. Do not forget the APAS system and list of other top features.
This really is shaping up to be a super bit of kit. As I am sure you are aware you can buy the DJI Mini 3 Pro as a standard kit or with the DJI RC controller, the controller really looks the part and if your budget allows we believe it to be the best option when buying the Mini 3 Pro.
The DJI RC controller has the screen built in to the controller making the whole kit that bit more portable and ready to go. Again, based on previous controllers we are hoping for this to be superb too.
One thing we will mention about the DJI RC is that it states a maximum brightness of 700 nits, whilst this is bright and we hope it will be very good, it is a lower nit measurement than we would have liked to see but with a bit of DJI magic we do hope this will do the job well.
As a comparison, the DJI Smart Controller has a nit rating of 1000, so the DJI RC for the Mini 3 Pro will be a little less bright.
All in all the DJI Mini 3 Pro looks to be the ultimate sub 250g, we hope it lives up to the Mini 2, we believe it will and then some. We cant wait to get our hands on this and have a good play with it all, we should have some this week so fingers crossed the weather holds out and we can see what this ultimate compact drone can do.
